Life insurance opportunity for Truck Drivers: Why and How

Every year innumerable people are getting involved in road accidents in the country. With the increase in the number of vehicles in the country, this number is also increasing at a growing rate. According to a report from 2019, the highest number of people involved in accidents that year were drivers of various vehicles. According to The Annual Road Accident Report 2020, 6,886 people were killed in road accidents in 2020, of which 2,039 were drivers. Hence, Truck Lagbe and Guardian Life Insurance have come up with this life insurance service specifically for drivers.

From now on, drivers of all types of trucks or pickups registered or unregistered in the ‘Truck Lagbe Owner’ app will be able to avail this life insurance for 1 year.

This life insurance covers-

1)    Guarantee of receiving BDT 1,00,000 by the family of the deceased due to any accident within a period of 1 year

2)   Guaranteed coverage of BDT 1,00,000 in case of permanent disability due to accident within a period of 1 year.

If you pay only BDT 450, your family will get this coverage of BDT 1,00,000 within 1 year for any of the aforementioned reasons.

To avail this life insurance, the driver must be between 18-60 years of age and after 1 year, a driver can avail this facility again with BDT 450. If the driver falls victim to an accident, the driver or his/her nominee can get the insurance money by contacting Guardian Life Insurance Company directly.
